I Needed This...

So, trying to balance the PT job (3 days a week), family, the modeling agency shoots and just shoot of my own ideas is becoming daunting. However, I welcome it.

I just need to find how to balance the new agency work better. So many heads to talk to, so many people you have to wait on. I'm not use to that, plus it seems everyone wants to work on the days I have set aside for family or paid work (saturdays). So, while dealing with that I am not trying to let my wife find a reason to kill me and take the life insurances and marry some Italian stud in Portugal!

....sorry...my imagination got ahead of me.

Annnnnnyyyhhhooo, I decided to take an impromptu reprieve from the norm. Deshae had some issues going on in his life and needed to release too, so we grabbed Anna and headed off to DC to explore and shoot.

As close as I live to DC I never really go here and walk around. We did some scouting and found a nice alley to shoot some floating and jumping shots. I was excited with the outcome of the images I edited as soon as I got home and the bts video. It felt...so exciting. The challenge and the fun of just being creative and not giving a fuck about anything for a few hours was well deserved, was well fully needed for all of us.

So if anything you take away from this post just remember when the shit is hitting the fan and is flying in your face with your mouth wide open, it's OK to duck the path of the shit flying at you. Walk into the other room wash that shit off and go outside for a walk and get some fresh air. So you can recharge and refocus.

Farewell 2017 No More

Now it's called, "Final Cut 2017 Edition"...

As I sit here eating some pineapple and the impending closing of the 2017 is coming... I think about how much difference 2016 was to 2017. I will be honest and I didn't know it at first...my overall emotional health was terrible. I realize that most of it was from being on social media so much. New President, hate groups, green house effects, etc...all over my Facebook and Twitter feed. So, I left it...I left pretty all social media with exception to things in regards to my photography and video. Honestly...it felt so damn good. I feel better about life in general and that's a good thing.

In regards to shoot going into next year, I won't make promises of any sort. I know that there are things that I want to do. I know there are new people I am looking to work with. I hope to finally take my work to another level, but I am glad you are all here to support me.

This year I am doing something a little different with the release of my favorites images of 2017. I will have two versions I am giving away. One is a free 'Safe For Work' version and the 'Not Safe For Work' version is only $5.00. I plan on doing a giveaway for actual physical copies after today.

Helmut Newton inspired

For those of you who don't know I really love Helmut Newton's work.

"Helmut Newton was a German-Australian photographer. He was a "prolific, widely imitated fashion photographer whose provocative, erotically charged black-and-white photos were a mainstay of Vogue and other publications." ~https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmut_Newton

Mr. Newton revolutionized the fashion world with his work. It was in your face, hard hitting and yet ever so subtle.

I try to (when applicable) throw in a bit of Helmut's style into my own style of work. I often try to make it point in my own personal projects to make you feel a bit uncomfortable, but you can't look away from what your seeing. I want you to talk about my work, whether it's positive or negative I want you to talk about it.

You know if they are talking about you, its means you are doing something right. I am encompassing your brain even for a moment, but you are talking about what work I've done and then just like any disease you spread it.

You know sometimes I feel like I am all over the place. Like I can't focus. You ever feel that way? I have so many ideas for shoots and stuff. Sometimes, I can't do them when I like because of family obligation, money, enough knowledge, or location.

Hello world! Comin' live and direct from...Earth...I guess...

I have been way way way busy! Doing photoshoots! Taking care of my 1 yr old daughter. Going back to school and looking for part time job. I love photography and I am not giving up, but I just want extra money to do things like going home to visit family through the year for our daughter and also for projects. Especially now I am entering the slower season of the year for work. It's cool I had a good summer of work. Got to do some bikini shoots this summer something I had set out to do. I think I have two more to go.

I've been doing a lot of development with some key models like Anna Baby and Hollywood. Test shoots with a few other young ladies.
