I know I know. It been a minute. I forgot to let you all know I was on vacation and I am still on vacation for the month of July. However, I am planning shoots for August now. The magazine is doing well and I am working on the next issue due out August 1st. Considering making a website for it, based on suggestions from some close friends who opinions matter to me.
I did however go back to Wisconsin (where I am from) to see family and I did a shoot with my close friend April Falaschi and her roommate Katie Lambrecht. I have always thought April should be a model and we’ve had talks months prior to us shooting. I even went as far as to hook her up a shoot with my mentor Larry Stone of 12 North Photography. So, when our shoot happened I knew it was going to be epic…but then something went wrong. My beauty dish that I shipped to my parent’s home was the wrong size. I tried to make it work with my x3200 light (Sofia) and well…sadly it broke her. Now I have no problem using natural lighting and speedlights, but April and I had planned to use creative lighting from Sofia. Nevertheless, we made do and the photos I took of these lovely ladies were great.
I am heading back to Wisconsin for one more day soon. I will be hooking up with April & Katie again too. So, stay tuned. Also, April is quite proud of the fact that she destroyed my record for number of photos I have ever taken with one person at 883!! It took almost 5 days to get thru all the photos and video. There are some pictures that I have of April that won’t be put out to the world right away because I am saving them for the magazine. In the meantime, enjoy some of the photos and video from April shoot.
