The day after the Catwoman vs. Poison Ivy shoot I was scheduled to do a shoot with Lauren Taylor. A young woman whom I have never worked with before. Lauren has done a lot of work in the Promotion Ad genre down in Florida recently and was looking to update her port with bikini summer time photos. Before this day I had never done any bikini photography. It was kinda rough for me in the beginning, the sun was my worst enemy again. Clouds may me re-adjust my settings on my camera and lights a couple of times.
We shot at Downs Park, and just so you all know -> Downs Park security has tighten up quite a bit as of late. Its a public park and you have to get authorization and make a rental payment just to shoot there. I WAS SHOOTING ON THERE LITTLE BEACH AREA!!! Seriously? I have to pay a fee to shoot on what you think is a beach?
Ok, enough ranting… Lauren takes direction very well. As you can see in the photos she has a very athletic body and beautiful tattoos. She is a gamer too! I think I remember her saying that she is currently playing “Dragon Age II”?
Specials thanks to Dave for helping do this shoot. Enjoy the pictures and video below:

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of finally working with Jenny Dang. Take a look back at this post I made a while ago -> http://jasonmcneilphotography.com/blog/?p=159
The concept was created from a picture that Jenny had posted on her Facebook. She was wearing a Catwoman costume and an idea started to form. I contacted Jenny and we talked about costume and another DC Comic character to utilize in the shoot. I told her I liked Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. However, if we were to use Harley Quinn I wanted the Harley Quinn from Batman Arkham City ->

(I still will probably find someone to play her!
)
Jenny told me that she has a friend who has a Poison Ivy costume and would more than likely want to participate in the shoot. That person is Isis Biehl. So, after nearly a month of waiting we were ready to shoot. The location of the shoot was at the Cylburn Arboretum at 10am. My buddy Massey and myself headed out to get some scouting done. I thought the place would be bigger, but it wasn’t. Then right before 10am…it started to rain….I was pissed at first. Then just as Jenny arrived it stopped and the blazing sun settle in. I thought I would be okay, but I started sweating like I was back at Fort Benning for Basic Training. It certainly distracted me and it became harder to shoot for me. I soldiered on no matter what. Kept drinking water and took small breaks, but also made sure the ladies were keeping cool as well. Isis carried an umbrella with her the whole time.
Anyways, the shoot was a success and it was a lot of fun. It was cool meeting Isis and working with her. She poses so naturally and I didn’t really have to tell her the poses I wanted. She just knew what she was doing and really impressed me. Jenny once again just impressed me as well. I hope that they love the pictures and will want to work with me again soon. Enjoy the photos and video->

Finally!! I got to work with the beautiful Hope (SunStar). It was hard trying to get together, but we finally did it. This young lady is really new to modeling, but she is a good sport, takes direction well and likes to have fun. I wish we could have gone outside on this day to do a little shooting with the sundress she is wearing, but the pictures turned out well even though we were inside the studio. BTW shout out to Snap Shot Clemencia for use of the studio homie!!
During this shoot I decided to incorporate a fan to make her hair blow all of over the place. I have never done that before and I believe the effects were pretty good. I know I will have to invest in one of industrial fans in the near future for a more dramatic effect.
All in all, the shoot was fun, I honestly didn’t want to stop shooting I was having a lot of fun working with her. I am hoping to work with Hope again soon. She is a really laid back, respectful and a sweetheart.
Please have a look at the short video and photos below. Comments are welcome.
So, this shoot kinda happened out of the blue. I was originally suppose to work with someone else on this day. Unfortunately, the model had to cancel and I already reserved the studio. I happened to be talking to Kimberly at the time and she agreed to fill in. At first I had a hard time naming this shoot. I was going to go with “Not Ur Evrday Gurl”, but honestly I just downloaded Alex Clarce’s album. He has a song on there called, “Hummingbird” and I decided it was perfect for the title the music that was played in the video.
In the short time we have worked (3 times now) we have built a great working relationship with one another. She has great ideas and Kimberly has a great sense of humor. I always try to make people laugh that I am working with and she always has me laughing often.
She has big crush on “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson and she is a big fan of the WWE and KoRn (preferably old skool KoRn), Beastie Boys and Ludacris. Yes, fan boys….she is a gamer!!
The question has been asked will there be any interviews with Kimberly and I am happy to say there will be. We have an epic shoot coming up and I will release the interview during that time. Stay tuned and please watch the video and enjoy the pictures:
*BTW this shoot was done at Snap Shot Clemencia’s Studio!!

So, one of my Dungeon SirenZ got a hold of me soon after that shoot. She came up with an awesome concept to show her love for the Baltimore Orioles. I had never done a sport theme shoot before so this was going to be something new. Kim brought her boyfriend along Jeff, who is really cool. He likes doing some photography and I gave him some pointers while shooting. Even let him fire off on Kim while she was posing with his Rebel T3i. I come to find out that he is in a band and unfortunately I don’t remember there name. (Sorry Jeff!!)
Kim and I are planning on doing another epic shoot in the near future, so stay tuned. Been trying to decide if I should interview Kimberly or not…hmmm maybe on the next shoot?
By the way you can connect with Kimberly here: http://www.modelmayhem.com/2331978
